Margarine Plant
We offer turnkey margarine production facilities designed to process refined vegetable oils in accordance with the target product formulation and physical properties. We design the facility according…

Margarine plants are production systems used to prepare refined vegetable oils according to a defined product recipe, blend them with the required ingredients, cool them in a controlled manner and crystallize them to obtain end products with the desired structure, consistency and application properties.
Özmodern Makina designs margarine production plants according to the target product range, recipes, daily production capacity, packaging format and operating requirements, and builds them as an integrated whole together with process equipment, tank systems, heating-cooling systems, piping, automation and auxiliary systems.
The plant configuration is determined not only by production capacity but also by the fat composition, intended use, target consistency and physical properties of the margarine to be produced.

Key Operational Benefits
Production Suited to Different Product Recipes
In margarine production, end-product properties depend not only on the oils used but also on the fat-to-water ratio, recipe, emulsification conditions, cooling profile and crystallization process. Configuring the plant to work on a recipe basis allows products with different properties to be made on the same production line.
Controlled Development of Product Properties
Cooling and crystallization conditions directly affect physical properties of margarine such as hardness, consistency, plasticity, spreadability and mouthfeel. By managing process temperatures and holding conditions in a controlled way, the aim is to achieve the target product structure repeatably.
Precise Dosing and Recipe Control
Oils, the water phase and the other ingredients in the recipe are fed into the system in defined proportions. Recording recipes and carrying out controlled dosing with the automation system helps reduce differences between batches and supports standardized production.
Controlled Cooling and Crystallization
In margarine production, simply cooling the product is not enough; the desired crystal structure must be formed in the fat phase in a controlled manner. Cooling capacity, product flow rate, inlet and outlet temperatures and crystallization conditions are therefore evaluated together according to the properties of the product to be made.
High Level of Automation
Tank levels, product temperatures, pumps, agitators, dosing systems, valves and other process equipment can be included in the automation system, supporting recipe management, process monitoring and production repeatability while reducing operator intervention.
Hygienic, Controlled Product Transfer
Throughout the process from product preparation to filling, tanks, pumps, piping and connections are designed to suit the product properties and hygiene requirements. A closed transfer system ensures controlled, orderly transfer of the product between process stages.
Engineering Specific to Capacity and Product Range
A margarine plant is not sized by capacity in tons per day alone. Product recipes, product range, batch sizes, cooling demand, filling capacity and production schedule are evaluated together, creating a plant configuration that fits the company's actual production plan.
