Intermediate Process Tanks

In vegetable oil production plants, intermediate process tanks are used to temporarily hold product between process stages, balance the process flow and transfer the product to the next production stage in a controlled manner.

Özmodern Makina designs and manufactures intermediate process tanks according to the process they serve, the physical and chemical properties of the product, operating temperature, capacity and operating conditions.

Tank materials are selected according to process requirements; tanks can be manufactured from stainless steel or carbon steel. Tank capacity, plate thicknesses, geometry, inlet and outlet connections and other mechanical details are engineered according to the point of use.

Depending on process needs, tanks can be designed with agitators, heating or cooling coils, jackets, insulation or connections to other process equipment.

On request, we also select and supply pumps and transfer equipment, level and temperature measurement systems, load cell systems, agitators, valves and fittings, and other required auxiliary equipment.

Engineering and Manufacturing

Intermediate process tanks are engineered not as standard equipment but according to the process duty they will perform in the plant. Requirements such as receiving, holding, mixing, heating and cooling oil or other process fluids and transferring them to the next piece of equipment in a controlled manner are evaluated together at the design stage.

Besides new plants, project-specific intermediate process tanks are designed and manufactured for process rearrangements, capacity increases and modernization work in existing plants.
