Crude Oil Storage Tanks

Storing crude vegetable oils under suitable conditions before they enter refining or other process stages is important for preserving product properties and ensuring a steady feed to the production line.

Özmodern Makina designs and manufactures crude oil storage tanks taking into account the chemical and physical properties of the oil, storage capacity, storage temperature, plant layout and operating conditions.

Tank materials are selected according to the intended use; depending on process requirements, tanks can be manufactured from stainless steel or carbon steel. Plate thicknesses, tank geometry, nozzles and other mechanical details are engineered according to tank capacity and operating conditions.

On request, we also select and supply the required pumps and transfer equipment, level and temperature measurement systems, heating systems, valves and fittings, and other auxiliary equipment together with the tanks.

Engineering and Manufacturing

Crude oil storage tanks are engineered to the requirements of the plant and the product to be stored rather than to a standard tank design. Material selection, tank capacity, operating temperature, heating requirements, inlet and outlet connections, maintenance and cleaning points and the necessary instrumentation connections are all defined within the project.

Tanks can be designed for new plants as well as manufactured for capacity expansion or renewal of storage systems in existing plants.
